At Mahan Family Wines, it’s been a dream of ours to offer you delivery of our wines directly from our Vineyard to your home–you would not believe how challenging it is to make that offer.
Over the last year, we’ve spent countless hours learning the shipping and tax laws for the sale of wine throughout the United States. What a challenge, indeed!
But the challenge is not without reward–we’re proud to share that we ship directly to many states, so if you’ve had your eye on one of our subscription memberships (we have multiple box sizes plus monthly, quarterly shipping options available, learn more here) now is the time to get in on the wine adventure!

Family-Owned and Operated Vineyard in Michigan
As the Napa and Sonoma wine regions struggle with ever-changing ecological conditions, the eastern shores of Lake Michigan (Southwest and Northwest Michigan) offer similar growing conditions during the spring, summer and fall months with the added uniqueness of midwestern winters, making the wines both as delightful as what you would expect from a California grape with a hint of the aspirational Midwestern hospitality and grit our corner of the world has become known for.
Madeline Triffon, a master sommelier, the USA’s first woman sommelier and a long-time advocate of Michigan wines, is excited about the region’s potential and the results of a recent the Wine Enthusiast judging. With more sixty-five Michigan wines recently receiving ratings and scores between 87-91 points (scores in that range are noteworthy because they place the wines from Michigan on par with those produced in acclaimed wine-growing regions, including New Zealand, Washington, Oregon and Spain). This region is noteworthy and rising in A-List Wine Culture, indeed!
On our small-batch, 3-acre vineyard, our grapes are cared for each week, harvested by hand, pressed with love and produced by award-winning winemaker, Phil Mahan, known best for his white vintages – especially his Gruner Veltliner. Next it is bottled, labeled and shipped directly to you by the loving hands of Ann Mahan.
