Have you ever dreamt of making your own wines? Have you ever dreamt of growing your own vines? Have you ever pined for a slab of earth to call your own where you could grow rows of grapes which could be turned into your favorite wines? Have you ever imagined a day where you gift a bottle of wine to a dear friend with your label on it, which came from your vines?

Us too.

We always dreamt of owning our own vineyard, making our own wines and sharing this gift with our loved ones. We are so fortunate to have realized that dream.

Being honest, when we started on this journey, the reality of it was more effort than the vision of it we had romanticized for so long. There were triumphs, there were failures, there were compromises. All worth it; all challenging nonetheless.

There were moments when Phil would explode glass carboys in the basement because of an unanticipated amount of gas created in the fermentation process.

There were moments when Phil would have to sneak away from big moments in our kids’ lives in order to finish his coursework for his Vintner (winemaker) degree.

There were moments when we had to choose between a new car for Ann or a new tractor for the vineyard rows.

There were moments when we wanted to sleep in, but it was harvest season and the grapes were ready to be taken from the vines.

As we’ve grown and learned from these triumphs, failures, experiences and compromises, we started to think: What if there were people like us out there? People with this same dream on their hearts? People who may not have the time, energy or desire to build their own vineyard from scratch, but who would pine for the opportunity to take part in the process?

Wouldn’t it be cool if…

We could help people like us realize their dream of being vineyard owners and winemakers with all of the benefits (triumphs) and none of the work (failures, compromises)?

Wouldn’t it be cool if…

We could create a community of kind-hearted souls finding purpose and connection over a mutual love for vines and wines?

Wouldn’t it be cool if…

We could open up our space, our vineyard, our tasting room, our hearts (and Phil’s brain) and teach people about the art and science of bringing grapes through the lifecycle of vine to wine?

Wouldn’t it be cool if…

We could help people realize their dream of being vineyard owners and winemakers and give them the opportunity to take part in every step of the process, not because they had to, but because they wanted to.

Wouldn’t it be cool if…

We could provide an oasis. A place where hobby, purpose and connection intersected. A place where the input was a labor of love and the output was soulful connections and delicious wine.

So that’s what we’re doing.
